1989 SSP Possible sale in spring what is it worth?
Hello everyone
I purchased my 89 in the spring of this year, but I unfortunately might have to sell it due to money issues being in college. My original plan was to do an ls swap so naturally I don't want to use this car to do it. So with those two things I think the best thing to do would be to sell it. Info 1989 Washington car buck tags and in vin project 170k miles New: plugs, plug wires, cap, rotor, oil/filter, air filter, valve cover gaskets, intake gasket, pcv valve and filter, headlights, door trim. BBK shorty headers ( have stock), pypes x pipe (do not have stock) Smog pump gone A/c all there needs a charge completely RUST FREE Regetta blue interior now for the bad Paint had a cheap respray and has runs on drivers door and front bumper has runs and flaking in corner. Heater core currently bypassed due to leak Interior isn't the worst but drivers seat is ripped on the side back and has a couple small holes in back seat. Rear package tray needs to be replaced. Carpet has some stains so needs either a good clean or replaced. The current wheels are in bad condition and 1 or possibly two are cracked. In the spring the car will receive new wheels and tires due to the bad wheels The transmission will most likely get rebuilt before sale because it grinds reverse and fifth as well as a little noise in it. (work at a trans shop so not an issue there) The car would come with the full size spare but the other wheels are unfortunately gone. The car runs awesome minus the trans issue but still can drive it wherever including the two hour drive home from purchase. I don't want sell the car but I am a broke college student. I also don't want to do a swap to an ssp. SO..What do you guys think shes worth? These are all of the pictures I have of the car here. Most of them are before new headlights, door trim and engine cleaning / smog delete. http://s1292.photobucket.com/user/mattdbal/library/ |

It's worth how much a buyer is willing to pay you. (j/k)
I recommend that you search through this section to research the different listings. Keep notes on the ones that are similar enough to your car and its condition. Then you can establish an asking price. As much as I wanted to sell my black 85 CHP to a member from the (SSP, Mustang, police car) forum, I listened to a member's advice and eventually listed the car on Craigslist. Although I had to put up with some knuckledraggers, I found a good buyer within 1 week (and made contact with a guy in California who owns 2 SSPs presently). Regardless, GLWS!!!
