Trunk masking was interesting.
My car has a cream colored trunk opening that was masked nicely. It also looks like the trunk lid was bolted on, painted cream, and unbolted so that the car could be painted black, BUT, the bolts were put back (to keep paint out of the threads?) and painted black. Then removed and used for final assembly.
