Thanks guys! We aren't quite finished with the interior, but here is a quick pic. Still waiting on a replacement multifunction switch to come in, finalize the mount / height of the radar antenna, and a few other minor things. We decided to reuse all of the original interior, with the exception of replacing the carpet and headliner.

As I mentioned above, our car only had the red stripe on the bumper when we got it like this in-service picture here. So we were leaning toward just doing that.

But, it certainly looks good all the way around.

The 1988 NYSPs with VINs ending with JF2588xx were the only 1987-89 units that I have seen so far that have a MLDG code on their door tag other than "XXX". The 1988 NYSPs with VINs ending with JF2588xx that I have seen so far have MDLG code "SSS".

Ford switched to a single letter MLDG code for 1990 and "X" has been on every SSP door tag so far for those two years. Ford started painting moldings body color in 1992 and there have been a multitude of MLDG codes so far for those last two years, ranging from A through L.

The 1990 NYSPs with VINs ending with LF2055xx that I have seen so far have MLDG code "X".

Impressive job! I like the red stripe, too, as it is unique to NYSP. That might be your car in the picture, though. I would duplicate the in service picture. What are the odds of there being another with just the bumper stripe.

I am going to try an alternative method to provide the door shields for my 89 MSP car. I have all the decal sets for all my cars except that one.
