Default Minnesota In-Service Photos

I recently rec'd a bunch of photographs from Kris Flaten of Minnesota SSP Mustangs from when they were in-service. Kris owns one of the 20 MN cars from 1989, and was very gracious in sharing them with me to publish online.

I will group the photos the same way Kris did in his emails to me, and provide his descriptions and photo credit where possible. Enjoy!

"All photos that I send you are in service photos and were received from either the troopers who drove them, or a Minnesota State Patrol Troopers Association magazine. This first email will be of VIN #193411 which we currently own. It was driven by Tom Nelson, who we have recently met up with and reunited the car with. One of the photos is of him with the car, signed by him. Another photo is of the car parked in his driveway at his house."

"These next photos were taken in Arden Hills Minnesota when the state patrol first received the Mustangs. The cars were brought to a track and a racecar driver was teaching them how the cars handle. One of the photos is of a trooper with Mustangs behind him. That is Rich Abraham, he drove VIN #193397 which is the other one we own. We recently brought the car to him as well."

"These photos were taken by Dean Smith, who drove the Mustang in pictures. In regards to the photo with the rear end damage he said 'I got into a chase with a jacked up pickup and he didn't like me being in front of him'."

- Kris Flaten

"These are all photos from Trooper association magazines, and one newspaper article."
