Congrats!
Good luck with your purchase! You heard the old expression about opinions...but I concure with keeping it as close to original if you are putting back to it's in-service livery (if you don't plan on driving it daily).
I would suggest skipping the LED's for more traditional strobes as they are still plentiful new or used. You can look at Ebay or the municipal aution site: http://www.govdeals.com/eas/ Enjoy!
