Hello,
Sorry it's taken me so long to post a message, but playing a bit of catch up with wife and young son today after trip to Albany, NY. I'm the new owner of Jeff Gill's 1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol SSP. I have a few folks that I'd like to thank. First would like to thank Mike from Special Service Mustang.Net for first giving me a heads-up that Jeff had posted his 93 MSHP for sale. Having seen my posting of looking for an MSHP to purchase, he was kind enough to mention. Next, I'd like to thank Eric Prince. Eric and I have a number of things in common with one another and he's exceedingly generous and responsive with providing his insight with MSHP SSP's (which as everyone knows is very deep). I knew Eric was looking to add another MSHP SSP and he was kind enough to mention it was ok for me to pursue this one (I'm excited for your recent SSP addition Eric). Additionally would like to thank Eric for having kept notice of this car through the years and for having purchased it from the Cottleville, MO PD. Who know's what would have happened to it if he had not. Also a big thanks to Jeff Gill for being an absolute pleasure through the whole process. I couldn't have asked for a better or more positive experience. An honorable man who was incredibly consciencous in wanting to clearly articulate everything about the car up front so I was not potentially wasting time or money with a trip to Albany, NY. Jeff has invested a good deal of his own time and money into the vehicle since purchasing from Eric last year and it really does show. Although I expected to see a real nice car, it actually far exceeded my expectations. Last but not least, I owe my wife a big thanks. While I am temporarily violating a household statute by having ownership of 3 Mustangs at one time, our 1969 Mach I (Champagne Gold) has been and continues to be for sale. My wife and I grew up in the St. Louis, MO suburb of Webster Groves and I was always enthralled by the MSHP SSP's. Whenever I would make a trip to or from college, would regularly see these Mustangs prowling I-70. I always thought these 5.0's police vehicles were the coolest cars on the road. This is what initiated my interest in SSP's a number of years ago. Also kind of cool this car served the Cottleville, MO PD as one of the first few dates my wife and I went on was to a go-cart track in Cottleville. As for my plans with this car...they are to restore it back to its' Missouri State Highway Patrol glory. Over the next few months will be doing my best to soak up information from Eric (and his awesome restoration guide) and obtain applicable electronics and other parts I may need during the restoration. Thanks again to everyone. Warm Regards, Mike Patterson Livonia, MI FOR SALE - 1969 Mach I Mustang (Champagne Gold) 1992 Florida Highway Patrol Mustang SSP #1164 1993 Missouri State Highway Patrol Mustang SSP |

Congrats on the purchase, Mike, and glad it all worked out. Sounds like you have found a really nice car to work on, and Eric is definitely the go-to guy for MSHP info, so you should be good-to-go there as well.
