Default 1989 TX DPS

Found this one on eBay today:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/1989-...item335e9754b3

1989 Ex TX DPS
VIN: 1FABP40E1KF200866
DSO: 52 0086
Current miles as of this post: 111,000
Clean vehicle history (first shipped to "Hallsville" TX, then Longview TX had it from which it was retired from)
Factory automatic transmission

Vehicle also has a rollbar installed, seller claims this was there when it was purchased and claims the TX DPS Dept. that used the vehicle had the bar installed.

Seller's Statement on eBay:
Quote:
this is a 1989 ex-texas state police car i have owned this car for about ten years but have not driven it since 2003.it had the original paint on it when i got it and the body looked really good,no rust or damage that i could see. i had it painted in 2002 because the paint had chips in it and the cowl hood didnt match.i had them leeve the antena holes in the trunk and the spotlite hole incase i wanted it ariginal some day.the interior is in ok shape the front seats dont match and the dash has some screw holes in it from the polise equip.it also has what i was told is a department ordered roll bar.the 160mph speedomiter is factory and so is the one key fits trunk doors and ign.the trunk button was ordered under the steering wheel.this car was an a.o.d trans but now has a c-4 in it.the mods to the engine are 24lb injectors, 70mm throttle body , trick flow twisted wedge alum. heads.maybe more i bought the car the way it is.this car ran strong when it was on the road.everything worked good when i parked it,i just lost intrest.i stared it up and drove around the yard no smoke or noises, stillsounds strong .this is a rare car and not alot of them around.this is being sold as is where is and the buyer is responsable for all shipping or pick up fees

Might be a good buy - and looks to be restorable after removing all of the aftermarket parts.

**EDIT** (was supposed to go in my original post above, but I got the "timeout" to edit note)

Just curious too - where there any TX jurisdictions or Dept's. that had a solid white SSP w/ ext. spot & antennas? Looking at the pics, the car looks like it never was a marked "black & white" unit, as everywhere I look at on those auction pics, white is the primary color (and possibly original color overall)??

Lufkin PD in Lufkin, Texas had a solid white 1990 Mustang SSP w/blue interior. They bought it brand new in March of '90. It had a 4 inch solid blue stripe down the side.

In 88 there were 100+ Automatics and Some DPS Narcotic Units were Auto.
