Default Lights for 1986 ssp

What lights are you guys using for your 1986 ssp cars?

Anyone use hid lights from ddm?

The stock 4 piece glass looks great. I bought the sylvania silverstar bulbs for mine at oreilleys. They are a little more expensive but help considerably at night.

You can either get better sealed-beam lamps (Silverstar, etc.) or get sealed-beam conversion housings (H1 & H4) with good H1/H4 bulbs.

Then purchase or fabricate a relay set so the lamps get full alternator voltage.

Unless an HID conversion is done properly (HID projectors), the optics of these "kits" are completely wrong.

Halogen projectors are NOT for HID.
Halogen housings are NOT for HID.
Fluted lenses are NOT for HID.

That's what I did with my 85. The stock headlights were downright dangerous IMO, and the Silverstars made a big difference. Well worth the $$$.
