Post How unusual? CHP dual gun rack.

This one is different than all the others I've seen and that my dad has. What type of rifle(I think it would be a rifle) would it be?

Mini 14. All of the CHP mustangs out of the Indio CHP office were equipped with the dual rack. At the time the units went way out into rural areas and wanted more range than what the effective range of a shotgun was without using slugs.

The Ruger was introduced in '89 and has since been replaced by the AR-15.
