I went with my wife to a fabric place yesterday and I was looking through the upholstery material and saw about 20 rolls of foam headliner material. This store had several shades of gray, desert tan, and black. The rest of the colors were not Ford colors. The price was $12.99 a yard which translates to about $20 for enough material to do a Mustang. A far cry from the $75 I just paid. The name of the store chain is Hancock Fabrics. I think it is a nation wide chain. Check and see if there is one in your area. I'm going to check and see if they can get other colors and see if I can get a better price by the roll. Doug

I was having deja vu for a moment... I could have sworn I just posted this answer but that was over at .org... Andy that's great and looks wonderful!! I know that it costs about $35.00 for doing a Dodge Diplomat headliner, what did you use for glue by the way?
I have a smooth, vinyl (?) headliner in my 86 ISP car... I take it that it should look like yours then? |
