in 1985 I drove by a Ford dealership in Dayton Ohio. In the back lot with some other assorted new cars was a brand new 1985 5.0 liter coupe, 5 speed. It was dark gray with blue interior. It was an A/C delete and manual windows and doors car. The salesman said it was ordered wrong and the customer did not accept it. He offered it to me under invoice. To this day I kick myself for not buying it and hanging on to it.

From .org
(Quote mbe2598) Summit Ford in the photo is Lee's Summit, Mo. History of Summit Ford was the dealership that brought the "Twister" back in the Fox body. The also had the Dominator Mustang. I can not tell if any of those are Twisters in the picture. The photo of the salesman and black Mustangs is also Summit. I can tell stories on Summit Ford salesman giving test drives of the GT and Twisters on a Saturday trying to get sales from the Chevrolet Dealer two blocks down the street that was introducing the new IROC Z-28. It was like shooting ducks that Saturday afternoon for the Traffic Unit. Summit was one of the first SVT Team dealers in the Kansas City Area and always had Hot Mustangs, R & A Motorsport for years, used the old body shop of Summit for their HQ and operations of today. Lots of Mustang Horsepower and cool cars. Summit Ford is now Sight Ford. Love the picture and I have to share. (Quote)
