Book Review
Yes a Book Review
The other day i was in a second hand (used) book store and i found this Book Mustang.....The Enduring Legend ISBN 0831761962 A large coffee table Ford Mustang book (lots a pictures) It was published in 1989 and covered all the models and specialty models thru 1989 like the SVO the 84 GT-350 haha sorry the 79 Indy pace car (you get the idea) But not One mention of the the Mustang being ordered by Any law enforcement agency or any Government orders or use! Almost as if it was ignored deliberately A second class Mustang A no class mustang The SSP Mustang An Idea that had already been in service for eight years when this book went to print was not worthy of any mention.

That is the way I have felt about 90% of the Mustang books published. They do not acknowledge the SSP.

I appreciate the fact that this site and people like yourself take the time and effort to acknowledge these cars by documenting their existence.

people write books to make money and pretend they are knowledgable about a topic. They write what they hope will sell, as their focus is either money or attention to themselves in most circumstances.
While attention to the SSP Mustang can be a good thing it can also be a bad thing. Over the past 17 years of collecting these cars I have learned that not everyone has the common sense needed to own one and project a positive image. I am glad the SSP mustang is not included in many books. It helps keep the idiots from deciding they want one to fill with LED lights and sireens.....
